Eggsplore the great outdoors

The holidays are the perfect time to encourage everyone to get outdoors and discover local wildlife, whether it’s in your back garden, the local park or slightly further afield. We’ve got two great resources to help you get cracking and eggsplore your surroundings…

Do you have a bit of a competitive streak? Then you’ll love the challenge of our species bingo activity!  All you need is our easy-to-print PDF and a sense of adventure. Get out in the fresh air and put your species identification skills to the test with our beach treasure hunt… how many species can you find? Bonus points for Easter related species!

Mask-making

Cute, fluffy chicks are everywhere at Easter, so why not make your own with our fun mask-making activity. This mask template may be for penguins, but if you’re eggceptionally creative you could make any bundle of feathers, like this adorable duckling or this cute capercaille chick

If you’re heading to the seaside for the Easter break, why not swap the traditional Easter egg trail and hunt for eggs of a different kind with our beach treasure hunt? Many marine species lay their eggs at sea, and it is not uncommon to find eggs washed onto beach from time to time – although these ones are unlikely to be of the tasty chocolate variety!
