Dear Lourenço Nisticò,

Earth day is on April 22! Pollution from factory farming is one of the biggest culprits of climate change and the depletion of our natural resources. Help save animals and protect the planet by trying out some of these simple activism ideas to help spread the message that "meat's not green":

  • Take PETA's 30-Day Pledge to Be Vegan! Already vegan? Share the pledge with your family and friends and let them know how going vegan not only saves animals and improves our health but also helps the environment.
  • Did you know it takes 2,400 gallons of water to make 1 pound of meat? That's equal to six months' worth of showers! Go vegan to save animals and the planet! Share this information on Twitter and Facebook to let all your friends know!
  • Contact me to receive some free "Meat's Not Green" leaflets and stickers to pass out on Earth Day! I can even connect you with other activists in your area who might want to work with you to plan a leafleting or tabling event to raise awareness in your community.
  • Share PETA's "Feeding the Future" infographic that explores how we can solve world hunger and save the environment by changing the way that we eat.

Whether you get active on Earth Day or any day, NEVER BE SILENT! Encourage your family and friends to join PETA's Action Team in order to help animals. If you have questions or ideas or would like free literature, contact me at LaurenS@peta.org or 757-962-8205.

Thank you for being a part of the Action Team and for caring about animals! I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Lauren Stroyeck
