Dear Lourenço Nisticò,

Mother's Day is on May 13, and since mothers are someone you and I have in common with animals, let's celebrate them! Did you know that elephant moms stay in touch with their adult kids and will even stay with their daughters for up to 50 years? See more motherly facts here and get active for animals with these ideas:

  • Hand out our free Mother's Day cards, which have a lovely message on the front and inside expose the truth about how mother cows suffer for cheese, milk, and other dairy products. I'd love to send you as many as you need. Please e-mail me at LaurenS@peta.org with your mailing address.
  • Be sweet to your mom this Mother's Day by sending her some delicious dairy-free vegan chocolates. Then you'll be showing love to your mom and to mother cows by stopping their babies from being torn away from them on dairy farms.
  • You can see for yourself what happens to mother pigs and their piglets on a farm in North Carolina, and be sure to share with others on Facebook and Twitter leading up to and on Mother's Day.
  • Send one of our Mother's Day e-cards to your mom and share them with others so that they can send one to their moms, too!

Please get active before and on Mother's Day and NEVER BE SILENT! Encourage your family and friends to join PETA's Action Team to help animals.

Thank you for being a part of the Action Team and for caring about animals and moms! I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
